Museum St. Francesco San Marino Art Gallery
An important architectural complex, founded in 1361, a part of the Church of St. Francesco and adjacent to the convent of the Franciscan Friars. Today only the external walls conserve their original characteristics. The Museum was inaugurated in 1966.
The 16th century paintings - by Guercino, Gerolamo Marchesi da Cotignola and Nicolò Liberatore (detto "l'Alunno") - are exhibited in the ancient cloister of the Franciscan convent, dating back to the 1400's. The exposition is housed in the balconies which constituted the cloister.
