Shopping San Marino
Just a brief distance from the Riviera Romagnola, San Marino presents opportunities which cannot be missed for all "shopping addicts". Two Outlets and two Shopping Centers as well as hundreds of tasteful shop-windows sprinkled throughout the nine Municipalities. Thanks to a lighter tax burden, in many cases it is, indeed, more convenient to shop in the Republic than in Italy. Some of the "better bargains" for those shopping in the Republic are: clothing, shoes, perfume and cosmetics, homeopathic products, electronic devices, musical instruments and petrol.
For those looking for famous-named clothing and accessories at good prices, a visit to the two Outlets: the San Marino Factory Outlet in Rovereta and the Queen Outlet in Dogana are a must. The former inaugurated its new location in 2007 and is the larger, for area and assortment. It offers, in fact, over 50 famous brandname men's, women's and children's clothing, shoes, accessories, household articles and optical equipment; the latter was also inaugurated in 2007, in the renovated building which previously housed the Factory Outlet. The Queen outlet differs from the Factory since it has a younger fashion target.
San Marino also has two large Shopping Centers, Atlante and Azzurro. The first has a very spectacular interior, with 14 thousand square meters of very fashionable shop-windows, distributed on five floors. For a more practical and less chic shopping trip, the Azzurro Shopping Center, which contains a supermarket, is more suitable.
Another commercial "colossus" is Electronics, with its wide selection of household appliances and accessories, telephony and informatics.
Well known with connoisseurs of the sector: musicians, both professionals and amateurs, arrive from all parts of Italy to shop at "Baldacci" - for over 35 years a point of reference for anyone looking for new or used musical instruments.
