§ I — Wellness

Hotel with spa

The first stop of the weekend is dedicated to wellness. Some properties of the historic centre and the upper city offer spa packages with couple massages, face and body treatments, breakfast in the room. The closeness between hotel, historic centre and belvedere reduces movements and leaves room for rest.

Offers change with the season. For an updated list of properties and current promotions the Republic of San Marino's tourism channels and the dedicated hospitality and wellness sections of the individual hotel websites are useful sources.

«A small republic offers a simple advantage: from the spa to the main square is always a few hundred metres. Time disappears in journeys and is recovered in the gaze.»
§ II — UNESCO historic centre

Walking among the fortresses

The historic centre of the City of San Marino is listed as UNESCO World Heritage along with Mount Titano. The cobbled alleys lead into Piazza della Libertà, on the belvedere overlooking the valley as far as the Adriatic. From here the Three Towers are easily reached: the Guaita, the Cesta and the Montale mark the ridge. A stop at the Basilica of Saint Marinus completes the loop.

§ III — Nature walk

Trails of Mount Titano

For a morning outdoors, the trails of Mount Titano cross woods and clearings and connect the fortresses to the villages at the foot of the mountain. Local hiking associations organise guided routes with qualified leaders, on a seasonal basis. Trails are suited to experienced walkers and to those wanting a quieter stroll.

§ IV — Shopping

From shops to outlet

In the historic centre the windows alternate craftsmanship (ceramics, filigree, leather) and clothing boutiques. Down the valley, on the northern side of the Republic, the San Marino Outlet Experience gathers Italian and international brands in a wide pedestrian area; the Atlante Shopping Centre of Dogana and the Azzurro Shopping Centre complete the commercial offer of the border area.

§ V — Dinner with a view

The last stop of the weekend

The day closes with dinner in the panoramic venues of the upper city. Romagnolo and Sammarinese cuisine, a wine of the local consortium and the lit belvedere recall that this part of the Titano lives most of all at dusk. For addresses and menu suggestions see the food itinerary of the Titano.
